A response to Mohammad

Today our family received the following post:

Hi. I'm realy glad I stumbled across your blog. It's heartwarming to see your family living by religious morals and values in this day and age. As a Muslim, I feel a connection with Christians, primarily through our shared belief in Almighty God. I just have a few questions, if you don't mind answering them. What is your family's impression of Islam? What is your view regarding Israel? Kind regards.

Now for our response:

Dear Mr. Mohammad,
Thank you for your post on our blog. To answer your questions:
First of all in regards to what we believe:
Most of what we believe can be found on our www.timetracts.com statement
of Faith. As for our faith, we are a family that is committed to live for
Jesus Christ as found in the Holy Scriptures, the "Bible". We purpose to
live by the principles that are found in it. Mainly, the Bible teaches
that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven...John 14:6 "I am the way, the
truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by Me."
In regards to Israel, we believe in the unconditional covenant that God made
with Israel in Genesis 12:3. Even though they have rejected Jesus Christ,
God is not finished with them as a people.
Mr. Mohammad, even though the Muslim religion and Christianity teach similar
things, in the area of eternal security, God's word, the Bible, teaches us
that one may know that they have eternal life. 1 John 5:13. What I would like
to ask you is that if you were to die tonight, where would you spend eternity?
If you stood before God, in His kingdom, and He said why should I let you into
my kingdom, what would your answer be?
John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son,
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
May the God of creation guide you in your search for truth.

  1. Praise be Allah! Thank you for your response. I can't provide a definite answer to your questions as ultimate judgment resides in the hands of God, and only God knows whether I am destined for eternal paradise or eternal hellfire. I know that Allah has promised humanity entrance to paradise as long as we abide by Allah's laws and remain on the straight path. I too pray that you find the truth and that we may all overcome the whisperings of Satan and the desires of our souls.

In regards to Israel, we believe in the unconditional covenant that God made
    with Israel in Genesis 12:3.

  3. Re Genesis 12.3:

"And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed."

So, according to this verse, your beliefs are that Israel is blessed?

  4. Going back to Gen 12:3...the scripture is a direct reference that thru the families that the blessed One would come. We believe
that Blessed One is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who we believe to be the redeemer of mankind. A closer look at that portion of scripture shows an unconditional covenant, meaning what God will do regardless of what Israel does. Even though thru out the scriptures Israel has turned their back on God, He still eventually brings them to repentence and has a heavenly plan for them.

  6. Mohammed, the law of Moses was written approx. 4000 years ago and Muslims also recognize Moses as being a Holy man.

Jesus'writings are approx. 2000 years old. Jesus was also a Jew and found as a Holy man in Mohammed's writings.

Why do Mohammed's writings contradict Jesus' and Moses'and why is there so much hatred for Israel among the Muslims?

We are also praying that the Lord of Truth would reign supreme in your heart.

    In Christ,
    Ben
