A response to Mohammad
Today our family received the following post:
Hi. I'm realy glad I stumbled across your blog. It's heartwarming to see your family living by religious morals and values in this day and age. As a Muslim, I feel a connection with Christians, primarily through our shared belief in Almighty God. I just have a few questions, if you don't mind answering them. What is your family's impression of Islam? What is your view regarding Israel? Kind regards.
Now for our response:
Dear Mr. Mohammad,
Thank you for your post on our blog. To answer your questions:
First of all in regards to what we believe:
Most of what we believe can be found on our www.timetracts.com statement
of Faith. As for our faith, we are a family that is committed to live for
Jesus Christ as found in the Holy Scriptures, the "Bible". We purpose to
live by the principles that are found in it. Mainly, the Bible teaches
that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven...John 14:6 "I am the way, the
truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by Me."
In regards to Israel, we believe in the unconditional covenant that God made
with Israel in Genesis 12:3. Even though they have rejected Jesus Christ,
God is not finished with them as a people.
Mr. Mohammad, even though the Muslim religion and Christianity teach similar
things, in the area of eternal security, God's word, the Bible, teaches us
that one may know that they have eternal life. 1 John 5:13. What I would like
to ask you is that if you were to die tonight, where would you spend eternity?
If you stood before God, in His kingdom, and He said why should I let you into
my kingdom, what would your answer be?
John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son,
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
May the God of creation guide you in your search for truth.
